YoungMinds – Enhancing teachers' skills in fostering mental health in children and young people

Duration: 01/10/2024 – 31/03/2027

The Young Minds project aims to enhance teachers' skills in addressing mental health topics through European films. Young Minds will use films as an educational resource, providing a unique and engaging way to explore a complex and sensitive issue, promoting critical thinking and empathy, cross-cultural understanding, and reducing the stigma. We will involve the wider school community, reaching adolescents, parents, children, and families, as well as mental health and audio-visual professionals, in promoting mental health literacy. Through training teachers and educators, creating innovative learning methods and promoting its examples of good practice, Young Minds will reduce the stigma surrounding youth mental health and open a discussion at the local, national and transnational levels.
